This live album captures one of the most joyful Billy Marrows Band gigs so far, from start to finish, recorded on a single stereo mic with no editing, and mastered by Alex Bonney.
In the first half of 2026 we had been touring our new studio album 'Dancing On Bentwood Chairs' and this was the last gig. We played on Saturday afternoon on the New Generation Jazz Stage at Love Supreme Jazz Festival and it was a very special day. This album and its artwork create a wonderful memento of it.
The original studio album's artwork was a wonderful ink drawing by my dad, artist Tim Morrison. The new artwork continues his lay-figure theme, but reimagines it in his current collage style.

This live album captures the debut performance of Billy's 12-piece chamber-jazz ensemble Grande Família, recorded live at London’s PizzaExpress Jazz Club. The concert, which sold out two months in advance and received a full standing ovation, features expanded versions of music from his critically acclaimed debut album 'Penelope'.

The album release was supported by a nine date UK tour including a sold-out two-night residency at PizzaExpress Jazz Club, Soho.
Billy released his debut album Penelope on the 26 January 2024, so far raising over £6,000 for World Child Cancer.
In memory of his mother Penny, who died of cancer in August 2023, all proceeds of the album are going to World Child Cancer, a charity helping children in developing countries to beat cancer.
‘Penelope’ features Billy’s new chamber jazz group, Grande Família, both as a 12-piece ensemble and in smaller combinations, interspersed with intimate solo guitar vignettes.
The album launch gig was at Pizza Express Jazz Club Soho on 13th May 2024, selling out over two months in advance. This was followed by a sold-out Vortex gig and performance on the Puppet Theatre Barge which sold out over 6 weeks in advance.
